Education that leads to action!

Over thirteen years experience helping organizations create inclusive environments for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.

About Me

My name is Nolan Pike. I’m a consultant, educator, and writer and the founder of Equity Educate.

I stumbled into this work by accident. As a transgender person who is passionate about serving the 2SLGBTQ+ community, I began working with schools to help them address the most common equity issues faced by students. Today, I have worked with numerous businesses, health care providers, not-for-profits, public and private schools, municipalities, and post-secondary institutions. I sincerely believe that learning about 2SLGBTQ+ equity can be engaging and exciting and I have built a reputation for creating truly entertaining and inspiring learning environments. I believe in the power of storytelling to create lasting change and I know I can help your organization create more inclusive practices.

Testimonials

In my ten-year career of pubic speaking and attending dozens of conferences regionally, nationally and internationally, Nolan has been easily among the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of learning from. Our office continues to receive glowing positive feedback from all in attendance.

Adam Robertson

Assistant Vice-Provost, Dalhousie University

Nolan built immediate rapport with attendees based on an engaging presentation style, and we were very impressed with the depth of knowledge and experience he was able to share on the subject matter. He managed to cover a lot of ground in a relatively short period of time, in a very open and inviting manner that ensured a high level of comfort for attendees to ask questions.

Sabine Bessier

Human Resources Consultant, Mount Allison University

I will admit to feeling nervous and uncertain about the subject matter when I first started the training. Nolan’s presentation style and humour really put me at ease. I’m so grateful for what I learned in this training. I have greater empathy for what my trans students are going through and I feel more equipped to teach in a way that is inclusive.
